Greasy is a coming of age story set in a fast food restaurant Flippys. Where a teenage fast food worker is just trying to get through another boring shift until his estranged dad shows up out of nowhere with an entirely new family. It's awkward, it's tense, and no one really knows what to say, which is the point. The film taps into that weird in between space where things are not dramatic anymore, but still do not feel right, especially when someone you used to be close to feels like a stranger. It's based on personal life experiences and leans into the quiet moments, the uncomfortable silences, and those feelings you cannot quite name.
